FAQ

Frequently Ask Questions

We have listed out some of the questions we are often asked. If you don’t find what you’re looking for , feel free to contact us anytime.

IP stands for Internet Protocol. An IP camera is a digital video system that can transmit data over a network. They work with mobile devices so that you can view your security feed from anywhere with an Internet connection. IP cameras may also be referred to as network cameras or webcams.

Traditional cameras transmit data through a cable to a DVR (digital video recorder). With an IP camera, the Internet is used to share digital video. We usually use a network video recorder (NVR) to store video. The resolution is much better in IP cameras.

Yes. Onsite monitoring of both live and recorded video is possible.

Yes. Make sure the Security DVR/NVR system you select comes with an audio option. Most analog cameras do not come with built-in audio, so you will probably need a separate audio kit if you chose analog cameras over digital ones.

Yes, but you need a special camera called a Pan-Tilt-Zoom or PTZ camera. Browse our selection of PTZ cameras, and find the one that is right for you. Or we can make recommendations based on your specific needs.

Security DVR/NVRs will come back on as soon as power is restored. However, we suggest an uninterruptable power supply (UPS) which provides a short period of backup power and also serves as a surge protection device. This ensures your video surveillance will still be online in the event someone cuts the power to break in unnoticed.

Yes. If the alarm is triggered, the DVR/NVR can reach out to a monitoring service.

Initial surveys and site visits in Bangalore are free as are introductory meetings for design. However, visits to explore faults etc. that require an engineer are charged at call-out rates

Although this is the last question on the list, it’s sometimes the first question we are asked.
